• Models with a factory touchscreen include Mirror Screen or CarPlay only on certain trims, and almost always over a cable.
• Entry-level trims and fleet versions, very common on the Spanish used market, usually carry the simplest unit in the catalogue.
• In vans such as the Partner, Expert, Bipper or Boxer, the original radio is nearly always the most basic one, when it is not just a front panel with a USB port.

What is the installation like on a Peugeot?

Fitting is plug & play using the car's own connectors:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing anything.
2. Release the console trim with a plastic tool, never levering with a screwdriver.
3. Pull out the original unit and unplug power, speakers, aerial and USB.
4. Connect the model-specific harness of the screen to those same connectors.
5. Plug in the CAN-BUS module, the key part for keeping steering wheel controls, sensors and on-screen warnings.
6. Fit the microphone next to the rear-view mirror and, if you are adding a camera, run its cable to the tailgate.
7. Test everything before closing up: audio, wireless CarPlay, GPS, camera and controls.

Between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the model. A manual is included, along with WhatsApp support while you do it.

How much does it cost to add CarPlay to a Peugeot?

At a dealer, upgrading the infotainment of an older Peugeot is almost never viable: the navigation unit, the wiring, the coding and the labour add up, and you still end up with cable-only CarPlay and mapping that is updated for a fee. Building it piece by piece at an installer means paying for the unit, the fascia, the harness and the steering wheel control adapter separately.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose the steering wheel controls or the parking sensors?
No. The PSA-specific CAN-BUS module keeps both, with their warnings on the new screen.

My Peugeot already has a factory touchscreen. Is it worth it?
If you are after wireless CarPlay, always up-to-date maps and installable apps, yes. If the original system does the job, there is no need to change anything.

Does the same screen fit a 308 from 2013 and one from 2019?
Not always: within the same model there are different openings and connectors depending on the year and trim. That is why each product page states the exact year range.

Can it be fitted in a work van?
Yes, and it is very common. The Partner, Expert, Bipper and Boxer all have their own model-specific screen.

Will it pass the roadworthiness test?
Yes. It sits in the original opening and does not alter safety components, so no type approval is required.
