The Toyota Aygo, the Peugeot 108 and the Citroën C1 are the same car with three badges: they are built together and share their platform, their mechanicals and, what matters here, exactly the same radio slot. They are the favourite city cars of urban drivers, new licence holders and families looking for a second car, and they have sold in huge numbers across Europe.
Their weak spot has always been the infotainment. Entry trims came with a basic radio and higher ones with a small touchscreen that dated very quickly: a slow interface, no real navigation and, above all, no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto. Exactly what you miss most in a city car, where you spend your day navigating and looking for parking.
Do the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1 have CarPlay as standard?
Not as a rule. Apart from a few very late top-spec versions, these three cars were sold without CarPlay or Android Auto. Depending on the trim, what you have may be:
- Basic radio with monochrome display: FM, USB and little else, on entry trims.
- 7" touchscreen system (Toyota x-touch, PSA Mirror Screen): a small screen, Bluetooth and wired phone mirroring, slow and very limited.
- Pre-wiring: on the most basic cars, simply speakers and an empty slot.
The screen mirroring that some versions had is not CarPlay: it needs a cable, depends on a specific app and neither Google Maps nor Waze work as they should. Those systems no longer receive updates either. To have real CarPlay and Android Auto you have to replace the unit.
The solution: Android radio for the Aygo, 108 and C1

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppOur screen is made specifically for the dashboard of these three models, with its own made-to-measure fascia. It goes into the original slot and the interior changes completely:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay: the iPhone connects on its own when you start the car.
- Wireless Android Auto with Google Maps, Waze, Spotify or YouTube Music.
- IPS touchscreen, large and sharp, far beyond the original system in size and speed.
- Bluetooth 5.0 with an external microphone for clear hands-free calls.
- Built-in GPS with offline navigation, with no reliance on your phone's coverage.
- Reversing camera input, activating automatically when you select reverse.
- FM/RDS radio, USB, WiFi and apps you can install from Google Play.
- Keeps the steering wheel controls thanks to the CAN Bus decoder included.
Available in three memory configurations: 1 GB + 16 GB for basic use, 2 GB + 32 GB (the balanced option and the one we recommend most) and 4 GB + 64 GB for maximum smoothness.
Compatibility with the Aygo, 108 and C1: supported versions
This unit is designed for the second generation of all three models, in the 2016-2020 range:

- Peugeot 108, closed body and Top! with the fabric roof.
- Citroën C1, 3 and 5 door, including the Airscape version.
- 1.0 VTi / 1.0 VVT-i and 1.2 PureTech engines, with manual or ETG automated transmission.

For earlier cars, the first generation (Aygo, Peugeot 107 and C1 from 2005 to 2014), we have a different reference because the dashboard is not the same. If you are unsure which one applies to you, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm it before you buy.

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppIt is a plug & play installation: it uses the original connectors, with no cutting or splicing of the car's wiring.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the centre dashboard trim, held by push clips.
- Undo the screws on the original unit and pull it out with its frame.
- Unplug the factory connector, the aerial and, if fitted, the original rear camera.
- Connect the harness with CAN Bus decoder included: this is the part that translates the car's signals and keeps the steering wheel controls and switching on with the ignition.
- Run the external microphone to the A-pillar and the GPS aerial to the base of the windscreen.
- Fit the new screen with its fascia, screw it in and reconnect the battery.
- Switch on, pair your phone and let CarPlay or Android Auto start up on their own.
At PantallasPremium the price is transparent:
- 2 GB + 32 GB version, the one we recommend for daily use.
- Up to for the 4 GB + 64 GB version.
It includes the screen, the specific fascia, the wiring with CAN Bus decoder, the external microphone and the GPS aerial, with 3 years of warranty and shipping.
Frequently asked questions
Does the same screen fit the Aygo, the 108 and the C1?
Yes. All three share the dashboard and the connector, so the unit and the fascia are the same. Only the badge on the steering wheel changes.
My car already has a 7" touchscreen. Do I gain anything by changing it?
Quite a lot. The original only does wired mirroring, with a slow interface and no navigation of its own. The new one gives you wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in GPS, more resolution and Google Play apps.
Will I lose the original reversing camera?
No. If your car has one, it plugs into the video input of the new screen and still appears by itself when you select reverse.
Do I keep the steering wheel controls?
Yes, thanks to the CAN Bus decoder included: volume, track change and phone keep working as before.
Does it look integrated in the dashboard?
Yes. It comes with its specific fascia and fills the original slot without cutting any plastics, with a factory-unit finish.
