Frequently asked questions
1. How to connect wireless Carplay and Android Auto?
For the first connection, it is necessary to turn on the phone's Bluetooth to pair it with the car's Bluetooth.
After successful pairing, the car radio will automatically switch to the Zlink or AutoLink interface.
At that moment, a message will appear on the phone: "Use Carplay with Zlink or AutoLink".
Finally, turn on the mobile phone's WiFi, and Carplay will connect.
2. How to connect wired Carplay and Android Auto?
Use your original data cable to connect the phone to the 4-pin USB cable. Then activate the Carplay/Android Auto function on your phone and press the AutoLink or ZLINK5 icon on the device to connect.
Q: Why doesn't the button light turn on?
A: When you turn on the car's headlights, it will light up. If it still doesn't turn on, it means the power cable is loose. First, check the power cable.
Q: Why does the Bluetooth connection fail?
A: Turn on the phone's Bluetooth and then search for the device name on your phone. If it still doesn't work:
- Check if the video input cable is plugged in. The two short blue wires are the Bluetooth and WiFi reception signal.
- Ignore the connected device on your phone and try connecting again.
- Try using another phone to connect.
Q: Why doesn't the regular USB work?
A: Our accessories do not include the original car's USB adapter. Since we already have two USB ports on our machine, we recommend using our USB function.
Q: Is it compatible with external microphones?
A: Yes, it requires an RCA cable with a MIC port.
Q: Can I use other map applications?
A: We install the latest offline map according to your address before shipping. It is free to update once a year. If you want to use another map, you can download it from the Play Store and use it online.
Q: Why is there no sound after installing the machine?
A: If your car has a regular amplifier and the cable is equipped with CANbus (except Outlander models), connect L IN and R IN to the RCA cable as shown in the image:
