Toyota is one of the best-selling brands in Spain, and models like the Yaris, the C-HR, the RAV4 and the Corolla are everywhere. They're reliable, well built and their hybrids squeeze every last drop of fuel… but with one detail that drives many owners up the wall: an infotainment screen with no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, or with it available only over cable and behind a rather clumsy menu of its own.
Replacing the whole radio in these Toyotas isn't always worth it: the screen is neatly integrated into the dashboard, with climate control, camera and vehicle alerts running through it. The smart alternative is an interface module: it connects to the original screen and adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto without replacing it.
Does the Toyota Yaris, C-HR, RAV4 or Corolla have CarPlay as standard?
It depends on the year and the trim — and in a great many cases, no. Toyota was slow to add smartphone integration to its Toyota Touch system, and for years what it offered was something else:
- Toyota Touch / Touch 2 with radio, Bluetooth hands-free, USB and little more.
- Touch 2 with Go with its own navigation, whose maps age and depend on official updates.
- Toyota's own connected apps, which never matched the convenience of Google Maps, Waze or Spotify.
Even if your car does have some form of phone connectivity, two limitations are very common: it only works over cable and no software update will add CarPlay to a system that wasn't born with it. That's where the interface module comes in.

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppThis CarPlay + Android Auto interface for Toyota connects to your car's original screen and adds a new source. Your Toyota Touch is still there, with all its menus.
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Mirror Link for iPhone and Android, to mirror your phone's screen.
- Connects to the original screen plug & play: it doesn't replace it.
- Navigation with Google Maps and Waze, music with Spotify and hands-free calls.
- Keeps the steering wheel controls and the factory camera.
It is by far the cheapest and least invasive way to bring one of these Toyotas up to date: the interior doesn't change at all and the car keeps every native function.
Toyota compatibility: supported versions
The module is compatible with the following models fitted with the original screen:
- Toyota Yaris
- Toyota C-HR
- Toyota RAV4
- Toyota Corolla
- Toyota Camry
As with every interface of this kind, what counts isn't the model name but which screen and which connector your unit has: within the same model several equipment levels coexist depending on trim and year. So before buying, the quickest thing is to send us a photo of your screen switched on over WhatsApp: we'll confirm for free, within minutes, whether this module fits or whether a full Android head unit suits your case better.
What is the installation like?

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppIt's a plug & play installation, with no cutting or splicing of the car's wiring:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal before touching anything.
- Remove the centre console trim with a plastic trim tool so you don't mark the finish.
- Undo the screws holding the screen and pull it out just enough to reach the rear connectors.
- Unplug the original connector and plug in the module's harness, which sits between the screen and the car's unit.
- Connect the power supply and the data cable that reads the CAN Bus signals, to keep the steering wheel controls.
- Tuck the module behind the console, secured so it doesn't rattle.
- Refit the screen and the trim and reconnect the battery.
- Pair your phone over WiFi/Bluetooth and check CarPlay, sound, camera and steering wheel controls.
With the included guide it's a job of under an hour, and any car audio installer handles it without complications. Since the car's software isn't touched, the installation is reversible: if you sell the Toyota, you unplug the module and everything is factory again.
At PantallasPremium the CarPlay and Android Auto interface for Toyota costs , with free shipping across Spain, warranty and after-sales support. It's the most affordable entry point in our catalogue for these models.
The comparison with the dealer is easy to frame: for a car that shipped without CarPlay, the official route means replacing the multimedia unit with a later-generation one where that is even possible — something many models simply aren't offered. Ask your official service for a quote if you want an exact figure for your case; we only publish prices we can guarantee, and ours is the one above. If you'd rather swap the whole screen for an Android head unit with its own GPS, we also have specific units for several Toyotas: get in touch and we'll advise you.
Frequently asked questions
Does it remove my original Toyota screen?
No. The module connects to the screen you already have and adds CarPlay and Android Auto as an extra source. Radio, climate and vehicle menus stay the same.
Does CarPlay work without a cable?
Yes, Apple CarPlay works wirelessly. You can also use Mirror Link to mirror your phone's screen.
Do I keep the factory reversing camera?
Yes. The original camera and the steering wheel controls are kept and work as always.
Does it work on a hybrid?
Yes. The hybrid system information (energy flow, consumption) is generated by the car and is still displayed as before: the module only adds one more video input.
How can I be sure it fits my car?
By sending us a photo of your screen switched on over WhatsApp. It's free, takes minutes and saves you buying the wrong module.
