Fiat lives in two worlds at once. On one side, the city cars: the 500, the Punto, the Bravo or the Tipo, everyday cars that sell in huge numbers second-hand. On the other, the commercial range: Doblò, Fiorino, Scudo and above all the Ducato, the base of almost every camper conversion on the road.
Both worlds share the same weak spot: very basic factory head units, with Blue&Me or an older Uconnect as the ceiling. This guide brings together, model by model, what each Fiat came with and which Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto fits it.
Which Fiat models have CarPlay as standard?
Phone projection arrived late and very unevenly:
- Models with Blue&Me (Punto, Grande Punto, Bravo, Doblò, early 500s) came without CarPlay or Android Auto: the system only handles phone and USB.
- Uconnect offers projection only on the most recent cars and trims, and always over a cable.
- The entry-level trims, very common in fleets and rentals, carry the simplest radio in the catalogue, in many cases without a touchscreen.
- On vans and motorhomes built on the Ducato, the original unit is usually the most basic of all, in exactly the vehicle where good navigation matters most.
If your Fiat falls into any of these cases, a model-specific screen is the cleanest way to bring it up to date.

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppThis is not a universal radio forced into the slot: every screen is built for the opening, the trim and the connector of one specific model, so the dashboard keeps its factory look. What you gain:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with no cables or windscreen mounts.
- An HD touchscreen much larger than the original one, depending on the model.
- Google Maps and Waze with live traffic, which is especially useful in a van or motorhome.
- Android with the Play Store: Spotify, YouTube, podcasts or whatever apps you use every day.
- Steering wheel controls and parking sensors kept thanks to the Fiat-specific CAN-BUS module.
- Hands-free with an external microphone, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, reversing camera and amplifier outputs.

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppIt is a plug & play job using the car's own connectors:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing anything.
- Release the console trim with a plastic tool, never levering with a screwdriver.
- Pull out the original unit and unplug power, speakers, aerial and USB.
- Connect the model-specific harness to those same connectors, with no cutting or splicing.
- Plug in the CAN-BUS module, the key part that keeps steering wheel controls, sensors and on-screen warnings working on cars with Blue&Me.
- Fit the microphone next to the rear-view mirror and, if you are adding a camera, run its cable to the tailgate; on the Ducato and Doblò it usually goes in the third brake light or above the number plate.
- Test everything before closing up: audio, wireless CarPlay, GPS, camera and controls.
Between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the model. It comes with a manual and WhatsApp support while you fit it.
How much does it cost to add CarPlay to a Fiat?
At the dealer, replacing Blue&Me or a basic Uconnect with a navigation unit means the unit itself, wiring, coding and labour, and you still end up with wired projection. Building it piece by piece at an installer means adding unit, trim, harness and steering wheel adapter.
The model-specific screen arrives with everything integrated and wireless CarPlay included. Each product page shows the current price and the available memory versions.

Message us on WhatsApp with your make, model and year and we will tell you exactly which screen fits your car. We reply in minutes.
Talk to an expert on WhatsAppDo I lose the steering wheel controls or the parking sensors?
No. The Fiat-specific CAN-BUS module keeps both, with their warnings on the new screen.
I have Blue&Me. Can it be removed?
Yes. The model-specific screen replaces the unit and takes over phone, music and hands-free, with the added benefit of wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
Does it work for a motorhome built on the Ducato?
That is one of the most common uses. There is a model-specific screen for the Ducato, Boxer and Jumper, with GPS and camera, which is very handy in long, tall vehicles.
Does the same screen fit a 2012 Doblò and a 2017 one?
No: the console and the connector change between series. That is why every product page states the exact year range.
Will it pass the roadworthiness test?
Yes. It goes in the original slot and does not alter any safety components, so no type approval is required.
