The Opel Movano B, the Nissan NV400 and the third-generation Renault Master are the same vehicle with three different badges: the X62 platform, one of the most widely used large vans among workshops, couriers, removal firms and, increasingly, people building a camper. Anyone who spends the day inside one knows the factory radio falls far short: a tiny screen or none at all, voice navigation that was never updated and a hands-free system that sounds mediocre. A screen radio with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto transforms the cab, and it does so using the 2-DIN slot the dashboard already has.
Do the Movano B, NV400 and Master 3 have CarPlay as standard?
No. In this generation the multimedia equipment ranged from a basic radio with a monochrome display to systems such as Media Nav or Opel's integrated navigation, none of them with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. On the most basic commercial versions, very common in fleets, the dashboard even left the factory with the slot covered by a blanking plate.
There is no way to add it by software either: neither Renault, nor Opel, nor Nissan released an update that brings phone projection to the X62. The only real route is replacing the unit with an Android screen that has this van's specific fascia.
The solution: Android radio for the X62 van

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppThe model-specific radio fills the 2-DIN slot with a black fascia made to measure for the X62 dashboard and sits flush with the climate controls and original buttons. This is what it includes and what it does:
- 9-inch IPS QLED touchscreen, readable even with low sun coming in from the side, which counts for a lot in a tall van.
- Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto: you climb into the cab, start up and the phone is already connected.
- Eight-core Android with built-in GPS navigation and offline maps so you can work without coverage.
- WiFi, Bluetooth hands-free and a separate microphone, which is what really improves calls in such a large, noisy cab.
- DSP with equaliser, to compensate for speakers that are almost always poorly placed in this type of vehicle.
- Keeps the steering wheel controls (SWC) via the CAN Bus adapter included.
- Inputs for rear and front cameras, essential when you have no rear window.
- Three memory configurations: 1 GB + 16 GB, 2 GB + 32 GB or 4 GB + 64 GB.
The kit also comes with the ISO wiring, the external GPS module, the USB extension cable and the mounting screws, so there is nothing to buy separately.
Compatibility: supported versions
The kit is made for the whole X62 family, in both phases and in every body style:
- Renault Master 3 (X62), including the pre-facelift and post-facelift phases.
- Opel and Vauxhall Movano B (X62).
- Nissan NV400 (X62).
- Panel van, crew van, minibus and chassis cab bodies, with front or rear-wheel drive.
The key point is the slot: these vans were sold with a single-height radio and a lower tray, with a 2-DIN unit, or with the slot left empty. The kit's fascia is designed for the 2-DIN opening of the X62 dashboard, so the best thing to do is look at your console and compare it with the compatibility photos on the product page. If you have any doubt, send us a photo of the dashboard over WhatsApp and we will confirm it free of charge before you buy anything.
Careful not to mix up generations: if your Master is the later generation, with the redesigned dashboard, its guide is CarPlay screen radio for the Renault Master (2018-2024).

Talk to an expert on WhatsAppIt is a plug & play job, with no cutting of wires, and the X62 dashboard is one of the easiest to dismantle in a large van:
- The trim surrounding the radio, held by clips, is removed and the screws of the original unit are undone.
- The ISO connector for power and speakers and the aerial lead are unplugged.
- The new screen's harness is plugged into the original connector with the CAN Bus adapter in between, which keeps the steering wheel controls and the vehicle signals.
- The external GPS module is placed (on top of the dashboard or under the windscreen trim) and the microphone, ideally near the interior mirror.
- If you fit a rear camera, the cable runs through the interior to the rear doors or the brake light; in vans the tidiest option is usually a rear camera in the brake light.
- The screen and its fascia are clipped in, switched on and the phone is paired.
At a car electronics workshop the job takes around an hour, an hour and a half with a camera. If you do it yourself, the only step that calls for patience is running the camera cable to the back of a long van.
How much does CarPlay cost in a Movano B, NV400 or Master 3?
There is no solution in the official network: these units are no longer made and no brand service fits CarPlay to this generation. What you do see a lot is the universal radio bodge with a generic fascia, which ends up with gaps in the dashboard, the steering wheel controls out of action and a camera bought separately.
The X62-specific radio comes with the fascia, the wiring, the CAN Bus, the GPS and the microphone in the same box, and it is a unit designed for daily working use. Current prices for each memory version are on the product page.

Message us on WhatsApp with your make, model and year and we will tell you exactly which screen fits your car. We reply in minutes.
Talk to an expert on WhatsAppIs it the same unit for all three brands?
Yes. The Movano B, NV400 and Master 3 share the same dashboard and connectors, so the kit, the fascia and the wiring are identical for all three.
My van has no radio, just a blanking plate. Does it still work?
Yes, and it is in fact one of the most common cases in fleet vehicles. The plate is removed and the screen fills the slot; you only need to check that the power and speaker connector is there behind it, which it usually is even on versions supplied without a radio.
Can I have internet in the cab?
Yes, in two ways: sharing your phone's connection over WiFi, or with the 4G LTE option. It is not essential for navigation, because the GPS always works and maps can be downloaded to use without data or coverage.
Will it cope with a working vehicle?
It is a permanently installed unit, powered from the ignition, with heat dissipation designed for long shifts. If your van spends many days parked up, it is worth reading whether an Android radio drains the battery.
Do I keep the vehicle signals, like the door warning or the climate control?
Yes. The climate control is independent of the radio, and the CAN Bus adapter translates the vehicle signals, including the steering wheel controls.
