The F-generation BMW 2, 3 and 4 Series (and their sporty siblings, the M3 and M4) are still very desirable cars, but there is one area of the interior that gives away their age: the climate control panel, with its physical buttons and small segment display. Do the BMW 2, 3 and 4 Series come with digital climate control as standard?

- BMW M3 and M4 of the same generation.
The car must have the NBT or NBT EVO multimedia system. - The centre console trims around the climate panel are carefully removed.
- The original climate control panel is unscrewed and disconnected.
- The new LCD screen is connected to the car's original connector.
- It is placed in the same opening and the trims are refitted.
- The car is started and you check that temperature, ventilation, air distribution and air conditioning respond from the touchscreen.
It is a job of less than an hour for an installer and perfectly manageable for the owner with plastic trim removal tools.
Is it worth it? Combining it with CarPlay
Where this panel really shines is next to a large radio screen. If you already have CarPlay and Android Auto in your BMW, the button climate panel is the only thing left of the original interior, and changing it unifies the whole dashboard. Will I lose any function of the original climate control?

Does it work on a BMW with the CIC system?
The panel is intended for cars with NBT or NBT EVO. If your BMW has CIC, ask us before ordering.
Is it compatible with the M3 and M4?
Yes, the F-generation M3 and M4 share the centre console with the 3 and 4 Series and are compatible.
Does anything need to be programmed in the car?
